This little 13 year old fits into that dress!

And pulls it off quite well!

Concert Black

The school orchestra is playing today to commemorate its 10th (it's really the 11th, but they forgot to do something special last year) anniversary!

That means concert black for Elle!

Doesn't she look all grown-up?!

Sunday Dress/Costume

Since all of our costumes are packed in a box and on their way here, :)  Elle had to be creative in her costume for the ward Halloween party yesterday.

Can you guess what she is?

White on top, Orange in the middle, and yellow on the bottom . . .

Maybe the two hour manicure I gave her will give you a hint:

She was a candy corn!

Pretty creative, right?

Happy Birthday Elle! Part 1

It's official! We have a teenager!

She wanted oatmeal with pumpkin spice creamer. 

And a candle :)

We are so thankful for the bright spot she is in our lives!

She's so happy and creative and loving and sweet and awesome!

Her smile and laugh kept me going all those years ago when I was going through dialysis.  

One day back then, I was exhausted and was lying on the couch. She toddled over and I said, "Elle, I'm cold."  She promptly toddled away. The next thing I knew she brought me her blanket from her crib! She had pulled, pulled, pulled it through the bars of her crib and brought it to me!

That is just one example of her thoughtful and generous nature!

Her only birthday wish was to be settled in a house. :(

Sunday Dress and Cello

It turns out that unbeknownst to me, they didn't have any 3/4 size cellos at school, so Elle was playing on her 3/4 size at home and a full-size at school!

We finally rectified the situation by upgrading her at-home rental to a beautiful, new full-size cello!
