Star Trek

The other month, Elle was saying something about how we haven't watched Star Trek lately. She said she liked watching it because she likes Captain Clark and Spot.

I like them too.

Woa.

Since it's Sunday and all, I thought I'd post a quote that I've been meaning to.
It's a quote by President Boyd K. Packer that I read in the new Book of Mormon student manual. He said this at a BYU Women's Conference, May, 5, 2006.

The heading is Mosiah 29:26-27. The danger of the Majority Choosing "That Which Is Not Right"

"The virtue of tolerance has been distorted and elevated to a prominence as to be thought equal to and even valued more than morality. It is one thing to be tolerant, even forgiving of individual conduct. It is quite another to collectively legislate and legalize to protect immoral conduct that can weaken, even destroy the family.
There is a dangerous trap when tolerance is exaggerated to protect the rights of those whose conduct endangers the family and injures the rights of the more part of the people. We are getting dangerously close to the condition described by the prophet Mosiah"

Like I said: Woa.

What. are. the. last. four. digits. of. your. social?
(I answer)
What. is. the. name. of. your. doctor?

(I answer)

(I answer)
Who. is. his. employer?
( I answer: PIXAR)

Him:YOU MEAN LIKE THE MOVIE PEOPLE?!!

Me: ya, cool, huh?

him: Ya!

My sister recently went to Rome and saw a carving of none other than Chris! Who knew he was famous?! (and really old)

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks one year since we moved to Seattle.
To celebrate, we're having salmon for dinner (obviously), and have a toast with sparkling cran-apple juice. :)
Elle and I were trying to decide what to have for dessert.
"something cold" she said.
We both immediately thought the same thing:
ICE CREAM!

Elle's first pet!

Santa brought Elle a fish bowl, fish food, rocks, and a little plant, so we thought we'd better get her a fish to go with it!

His name is "X-Ray"

"Because when you look at him, his colors make it look like an X-ray of a spine and stuff"
She said.

a laugh at my expense

So, tonight, under the influence of sugar, I was thinking how stupid the comeback

"I know I am, but what are you?!" is.

For example, someone says, "You are a moron!" and the proper response is: "I know I am, but what are YOU?!"

Then, Chris pointed out that its' actually "I know YOU are, but what am I?"

I'm thinking I am a moron. Or Blonde, or I guess they go hand in hand.
