Sunday Dress and Hair

Can you believe how grown up and beautiful  Elle looks today?!

You prolly can't tell, but she's wearing a hint of masca that subtly enhances her amazingly long and perfect eyelashes and just a touch of lipstick that sets her mouth apart nicely.

*Nan bursts into tears*

My baby is growing up so fast!

What I Did On My Summer Vacation part 4

While Elle was at camp Chris and I had adventures of our own.

We saw Finding Dori at this cool little theater that had recliners for every seat!

Then we drove over to Tacoma which, oddly enough, we've never been to.
We walked along the beach enjoying the beautiful day while everyone around us was playing Pokemon Go!

We wandered through a beautiful rose (and other flowers) garden.

We came upon a bullet that needed posing over. Chris obliged, obviously.

We watched some people fishing and spotted the biggest jellyfish I've ever seen!

It was just so relaxing and beautiful.

What I Did On My Summer Vacation part 3

Another day we went back downtown to visit the aquarium which was kind of fun, but really it was a waste of money. It was fun watching a scuba diver feeding the fish in the tank though. The jellyfish display was cool too because they had different colored lights shining on their translucent little bodies.

In case you can't tell, Chris and Elle are doing the "realtor pose" on that fin.  Not sure why...Because Chris is silly, that's why! 😄
I told Elle to pose like the skeleton in the case so that's why she's standing funny.

Later we went to Chris's cousin's house for smore's! I had been looking forward to them all summer! I was getting worried that I wouldn't get any this season!  Yay for cousins 😄

What I Did On My Summer Vacation part 2

We took a family trip to exotic Seattle!

(But wait, didn't you guys, like just move from there or something?)

Yes. I know we lived there for a few years and it isn't actually that exotic, but it's the only family vacation we took this summer!
Sometimes you gotta take what you can get

We went to the "Living Computer Museum" check it out: http://www.livingcomputermuseum.org/

Elle and I joked that Chris was there to see his ancestors. (He's part robot)

Elle enjoyed playing "Oregon Trail" We could hardly tear her away from trying to save her little wagon company!

Chris and Elle made punch cards and tried out all the old computers that still worked. Chris kept explaining things to me and I just kept smiling and nodding. (Completely clueless). I'm glad he was facinsted though. 😄

Then we went to Pike's Market for a fresh baguette and a huge juicy peach for lunch. We stopped for all kinds of samples along the way, of course!  Almonds, fruit, jerky, chocolate, etc.

We walked down to the pier and ate our delicious food then rode the Ferris wheel.
The view was fantastic!

It was such a great day just walking around and enjoying being together as a family.

First Day of School!

We interrupt this summer vacation series to bring you shocking up-to-date information:

First day of school!

Shocking because it is only August 11th!

She said it went well. Her teachers seem normal despite rumors.  She has friends and familiar faces in all her classes.
And yes, she has real live homework tonight! (Besides the whole have-your-parents-sign-the-syllabus homework). More classes tomorrow!

What I Did On My Summer Vacation Part 1

This has to be a series of posts because they are what I should have been posting all along. (Shame on me)

So,

We did more beaching, and more swimming at the pool

Elle went to girls camp

As a family we went stargazing at Vasquez Rock

And hiking at the bear divide (which is totally burned now!)
We saw this totally weird movie prop? or something. A big metal dog dinosaur maybe. They were obviously filming a movie of some kind, but we don't know what yet.

More to come!
