Sunday Hair

I wanted to do Elle's hair all cool since we have 11:00 church now
(which, I think is the best time ever!)

cool, huh?

She (and I) got LOTS of compliments on
how cute it was .
And
they all asked how I managed to do it!
I told them I was envisioning it that morning,
and I decided to try it out.
And
It worked!

Just kidding! Here's her real hair do!

Definitive Proof

I now know for myself that toliet paper comes from trees.
Not that I doubted, mind you.
But today, I have definitive proof that this is true.
I opened up a package of toliet paper today.
I noticed right away
(see how observant I am?!)
that there was something on one of the rolls.
I opened it up and saw:

What appears to be a small piece of a tree.

Here's a close up just in case.

and another one, to be sure:

Is that crazy or what?!

Star Trek

The other month, Elle was saying something about how we haven't watched Star Trek lately. She said she liked watching it because she likes Captain Clark and Spot.

I like them too.

Woa.

Since it's Sunday and all, I thought I'd post a quote that I've been meaning to.
It's a quote by President Boyd K. Packer that I read in the new Book of Mormon student manual. He said this at a BYU Women's Conference, May, 5, 2006.

The heading is Mosiah 29:26-27. The danger of the Majority Choosing "That Which Is Not Right"

"The virtue of tolerance has been distorted and elevated to a prominence as to be thought equal to and even valued more than morality. It is one thing to be tolerant, even forgiving of individual conduct. It is quite another to collectively legislate and legalize to protect immoral conduct that can weaken, even destroy the family.
There is a dangerous trap when tolerance is exaggerated to protect the rights of those whose conduct endangers the family and injures the rights of the more part of the people. We are getting dangerously close to the condition described by the prophet Mosiah"

Like I said: Woa.

(I answer)
What. are. the. last. four. digits. of. your. social?
(I answer)
What. is. the. name. of. your. doctor?
(I answer)

(I answer)
What. is. your. husband's. name?
(I answer)
Is. he. employed?
(I answer)
Who. is. his. employer?
( I answer: PIXAR)

Him:YOU MEAN LIKE THE MOVIE PEOPLE?!!

Me: ya, cool, huh?

him: Ya!

What. is. the. nature. of. your. surgery?
(I answer: I'm having my stent changed out)

etc. etc.

My sister recently went to Rome and saw a carving of none other than Chris! Who knew he was famous?! (and really old)

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks one year since we moved to Seattle.
To celebrate, we're having salmon for dinner (obviously), and have a toast with sparkling cran-apple juice. :)
Elle and I were trying to decide what to have for dessert.
"something cold" she said.
We both immediately thought the same thing:
ICE CREAM!
