Square dancing

The cutest couple came and taught us square dancing

Chris' Uncle Doug was really sweet to Elle as her partner

Since there was a lack of men, I had to play the part.
Dancing was way more fun than I thought it'd be!

And the trek goes on. . .

Grandma Harvey made pioneer dolls for all the
little girls and told them a story

It started to rain and thunder and lightning pretty crazy-like,
so we had to hole up in our tents for a while
Elle was pretty stressed out as you can see

Elle pushed for a while

We even had a goat with us on the trek
Her name was Ginger

More of the pioneer trek

It was beautiful scenery
And we really did stop at streams just like the song says
It helped cool our feet for the next day's walk

Fourth of July

Since Chris wasn't there, I had to take up the
torch of toenail painting myself.
Elle did her own stars, however.

We did many, many,many,MANY sparklers
And fountains

They were pretty smoky!

Mom and I opened up my hope chest and found my old GunneSax dress

I was eight years old when I wore it.

It seems to fit Elle just fine at age five and a half!
This is an imitation Kristen pose
