Three things

I have three stories to tell you.

#1 When I was at a scripture class our ward does, a girl who recently came home from collage was there with her mom. The girl raised her hand to make a comment, and said "Like" so many times during it, I could hardly keep from laughing. It went something like this (obviously don't know what she was saying since I was only paying attention to her "likes")
"So, like, like, Moroni is, like, like saying that we, like, like we should search the the Scriptures, like, And then, like, like my religion teacher always said, like, like you should, like pray, like, like when you're, like, reading them. " It was hilarious! Her comment was rather long, and it was pretty much the same the whole way through. It seems that "like" is the new "um."

#2 The other day while Elle was at gymnastics, her teacher offered to help her on the bars. She said, "Do you want to do it yourself, or do you want me not to help you? "

My friend and I decided, that this is a very good sentence to use on someone. For instance, "Do you want to do the dishes, or do you want me not to?" See!

#3 This morning Elle was playing with her vampire eraser family* The little girl eraser was having a conversation with her dad eraser. As far as I can remember, it went like this:

"Dad, can I have a lick of the ice cream cone?

"No."

"Just one little lick?"

"No"

"Please?!"

"No"

"Pretty please?!"

"No. When I say 'no',' I mean 'no!' "

"Pretty please with sugar on top?"

"No!"

"Pretty pretty please with sugar and your most favorite dessert on top?!"

"No!!"

"Pretty please with sugar on top, and your most favorite dessert on top, and cherries, and blood?!"

"NO!"

"But, Daaad! It's my favorite ice cream and I love ice cream cones!"

"No, sweety, other people are going to be eating this."

"Ok, I guess I'll have this dessert when we're all eating it. :( "

"That's my girl. And I don't want to hear another word about this!"

I don't know where she comes up with things like this. Her father maybe? ;)

*The "History of the Vampire erasers" by Elle

"A boy at school drew a face on his eraser, and named it "BoB" Then, a girl cut mouths on the erasers, drew teeth, and had a small family. Then another girl had the same idea as the other girl, except that they all had accessories and all sorts of stuff. This one caught on to everybody (or pretty much everybody) having it."

Every fun Friday their class plays with their eraser families. Last week there was a wedding. There was almost a war over who would be president of the vampires. Thankfully, that's all settled and there is a President and a Governor.

the end.

signs

We went to a new restaurant the other day, and I saw this sign.

I thought it was pretty funny, but true.

Then I realized it actually said this:
Usually bathroom signs are blue, right?

Emily

This is Emily.
She went to an American Girl birthday party as a WWII nurse.
I thought her little hat turned out well, so you get to see it.
They did a "how to host a murder" thing, only it was "who stole the candy" thing
(The mom stole it, of course)

One of those families

This year for Easter, I decided to get coordinating outfits for us.
I felt just like "one of those families" who do that all the time.

The pics look terrible, but it was a sunny Sunday (the week after Easter), so we took pictures!

my cute litle girl!

After Elle left for school on St Patrick's day, I went to my room and found this on my bed! My favorite part is the earrings ;)

I made sure to wear my CTR ring the night before St. Patty's Day so I could thorougly pinch Chris. (which I did) And conviently, it was so small Elle didn't see it. She
pinched me, and so according to the rules, I got to pitch her back 10 times :)
AND that night while Elle was taking a shower, I hid in her room. When she came in her room in her bathrobe (without any green on it) I jumped out and pinched her. She gave the most satisfying scream :)

We had green milk in the morning. I put ham sadwhiches with green lettuce and green mayo in Chris and Elle's lunches. I also gave them green apples. My friend told me that she knew someone who dyed the toliet water green. I'll have to try that next year. For dinner we had a traditional corned beef and cabbage for dinner. It was a fun day. :]

It was backward day at school Friday, so I fixed Elle 's hair
backwards .
I thought it turned out great!
She wore her shirt backwards and some pants that look like their backwards because they have little pockets on the front. She told me that someone in her class wore their shoes backwards. He had to stand on them to make it work, so the teacher made him put them on normally.

Sunday Hair

I wanted to do Elle's hair all cool since we have 11:00 church now
(which, I think is the best time ever!)

cool, huh?

She (and I) got LOTS of compliments on
how cute it was .
And
they all asked how I managed to do it!
I told them I was envisioning it that morning,
and I decided to try it out.
And
It worked!

Just kidding! Here's her real hair do!

Definitive Proof

I now know for myself that toliet paper comes from trees.
Not that I doubted, mind you.
But today, I have definitive proof that this is true.
I opened up a package of toliet paper today.
I noticed right away
(see how observant I am?!)
that there was something on one of the rolls.
I opened it up and saw:

What appears to be a small piece of a tree.

Here's a close up just in case.

and another one, to be sure:

Is that crazy or what?!
